This study aimed to describe the severity of abortion-related complications, factors associated with complications, the types of management and the experience of care in Brazil. A cross-sectional study in twenty hospitals (10 in Federal District, 3 in Rondônia and 7 in Maranhão). For 3 months, all women treated for abortion/miscarriage had their data collected.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common malignant bone tumor affecting adolescents and young adults and it usually occurs in the long bones of the extremities. The detection of cancer-related genetic alterations has a growing effect in guiding diagnosis, prognosis and targeted therapies. However, little is known about the molecular aspects involved in the etiology and progression of OS, which limits options for targeted therapies.

Introduction: Leprosy, a chronic infectious disease, is closely linked to the host immune response. According to the WHO, leprosy patients (L) and household contacts (HHC) are classified into subgroups: paucibacillary (PB) and multibacillary (MB), witch reflect the degree of infection in patients and the level of exposure of their contacts. The main goal of this study was to: i) establish a comprehensive overview of soluble mediator signatures of PBMCs upon antigen-specific stimuli and ii) identify whether the chemokine (CH) and cytokine (CY) signatures were associated with distinct clinical manifestations in (L) and immune response profiles in (HHC).

This document presents guidelines to assist surgeons in the diagnosis and management of this condition, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach. Recommendations described by a group of physicians members of the Brazilian Society of Oncological Surgery regarding the treatment of neoplastic pericardial effusion, developed to guide oncological surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons and general surgeons in their clinical practice. Members of the Thoracic Neoplasms Committee carried out a literature review and discussion among expert peers to create a guideline that would help in managing this very serious clinical condition in our oncology practice: Neoplastic pericardial effusion.

Background: The hospitals' volume, specialization, availability of all oncological services, and experience in performing complex surgeries have a favorable impact on gastric cancer (GC) treatment.

Aims: The aim of this study was to compare the results of GC treatment according to the type of oncological hospital in the State of São Paulo.

Methods: Patients diagnosed with GC between 2000 and 2022 in qualified hospitals for cancer treatment were evaluated by data extracted from the hospital cancer registry.
