The glutamine (Gln)-deficient microenvironment contributes to PDAC metastasis; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Anti-estrogen endocrine therapies greatly improve survival of estrogen receptor positive (ER + ) breast cancer. Unfortunately, about 30% of patients do not respond to endocrine therapies initially. We previously showed that deubiquitinase USP35 and ERα act in a positive feedback loop to promote the carcinogenesis of ER+ breast cancer although it is unclear whether USP35 regulates cell death in ER+ breast cancer.

Background: MiR-519d-3p, also called specific placenta biomarkers, is a member of the Chromosome 19 miRNA Cluster (C19MC) with the highest concentrations of miRNAs in human placenta and maternal serum. These miRNAs are secreted by fetal trophoblast cells within extracellular vesicles (EVs) and interact with the mother's immune cells, which has been proposed to be crucial for immunological tolerance at the placental-maternal interface. A key mechanism in preeclampsia, a multifactorial, multipath hypertensive pregnancy illness, is an immunological imbalance between the mother and the fetus.

Flow meters are commonly used in manholes to monitor the flow rate for sewer operation and management. However, the large-scale deployment of flow meters in a sewer system is cost-prohibitive due to their high costs and the need for frequent maintenance. This paper proposes a soft sensor that estimates flow rates based on water level measurements in a manhole.
