Purpose: Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) procedures from single photon emission computed tomography and positron emission tomography imaging have been registered in the Western Denmark Heart Registry (WDHR) since 2017 as a sub-registry (WDHR-MPI). The aim was to review the content, quality, and research potential of the WDHR-MPI and assess the completeness and validity of its key variables.

Patients And Methods: Using the Danish National Patient Registry (DNPR) as a reference, we calculated the completeness of procedure registration as the proportion of procedures registered in the WDHR-MPI from 2017 to 2021.

Targeting testosterone signaling through androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) or antiandrogen treatment is the standard of care for advanced prostate cancer (PCa). Although the large majority of patients initially respond to ADT and/or androgen receptor (AR) blockade, most patients suffering from advanced PCa will experience disease progression. We sought to investigate drivers of primary resistance against antiandrogen treatment in the TRAMP mouse model, an SV-40 t-antigen driven model exhibiting aggressive variants of prostate cancer, castration resistance, and neuroendocrine differentiation upon antihormonal treatment.

Purpose: To assess the impact of frailty on compliance of standard therapy, complication, rate and survival in patients with gynecological malignancy aged 80 years and older.

Methods: In total, 83 women with gynecological malignancy (vulva, endometrial, ovarian or cervical cancer) who underwent primary treatment between 2007 and 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Frailty index was calculated and its association with compliance of standard treatment, peri- and postoperative mortality and morbidity, and survival was evaluated.

Objective: Aim of the study was to investigate the expression of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), a key regulator of the extracellular matrix composition, in the uterosacral ligaments (USLs) of women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) compared with controls. We hypothesized that the expression pattern of TGF-β1 differs between postmenopausal women with or without POP.

Methods: Under ethical approval, USL samples were obtained from postmenopausal women undergoing vaginal hysterectomy for stage two or greater pelvic organ prolapse (cases, n = 70) and from postmenopausal women without pelvic organ prolapse undergoing vaginal hysterectomy for benign indications (controls, n = 30).

Purpose: To evaluate HPV and p16 status as prognostic factors in patients with invasive vulvar cancer.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of disease-free (DFS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) of patients with invasive vulvar cancer at a single tertiary care center. Histology, HPV and p16 status were evaluated in the context of a global multicenter trial.
