Objectives: Whilst cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) is increasingly used as an indirect intervention, there is little evidence of how the approach can be applied to reflective practice. This study sought to develop a process model of cognitive analytic reflective practice (CARP) groups.

Design: Constructivist grounded theory approach supplemented by quantitative measures of helpfulness and group cohesion.

Strategies to enhance the anti-tumor immune response of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) at primary tumors and abscopal sites are under intensive investigation. Here we report a metabolizable binary supracluster (BSC) that combines gold nanoclusters as radiosensitizing adjuvants with small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting the immunosuppressive mediator galectin-1 (Gal-1). BSC comprises reversibly crosslinked cationic gold nanoclusters and siRNA complexes in a polymer matrix that biodegrades over weeks, facilitating clearance (90.

Article Synopsis
  • New brain-computer-interface (BCI) technology offers significant improvements in efficiency, featuring a thin and flexible micro-electrocorticography (μECoG) device with 256x256 electrodes.
  • This innovative device integrates advanced components, allowing for the recording of up to 1024 brain signals simultaneously, all while being fully implanted and wirelessly powered.
  • Successful tests in pigs and non-human primates demonstrated its ability to record brain activity reliably for extended periods, achieving high-quality data from critical brain areas related to sensory and motor functions.*

Background: Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease (PD), necessitate frequent clinical visits and monitoring to identify changes in motor symptoms and provide appropriate care. By applying machine learning techniques to video data, automated video analysis has emerged as a promising approach to track and analyze motor symptoms, which could facilitate more timely intervention. However, existing solutions often rely on specialized equipment and recording procedures, which limits their usability in unstructured settings like the home.

Immunodeficient NSG mice are reported to be less responsive to buprenorphine analgesia. Here, we used NSG mice to compare the efficacy of the commonly used dose of carprofen (5 mg/kg) with 5 and 10 times that dose (25 and 50 mg/kg) for attenuating postoperative mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity following an incisional pain model. Male and female NSG mice ( = 45) were randomly assigned to one of 4 groups and received daily subcutaneous injections for 3 d: saline (5 mL/kg), 5 mg/kg carprofen (Carp5), 25 mg/kg carprofen (Carp25), and 50 mg/kg carprofen (Carp50).
