Elucidating gene function is one of the ultimate goals of plant science. Despite this, only ∼15 % of all genes in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana have comprehensively experimentally verified functions. While bioinformatical gene function prediction approaches can guide biologists in their experimental efforts, neither the performance of the gene function prediction methods nor the number of experimental characterization of genes has increased dramatically in recent years.

Background: Wisdom tooth extraction often requires various surgical techniques due to differences in tooth position, root morphology, and patient characteristics. This research aims to compare traditional surgical extraction with minimally invasive techniques such as piezo surgery and laser-assisted extraction, as well as extraction with the aid of 3D imaging and navigation systems.
Methods: Patients requiring wisdom tooth extraction were randomly assigned to one of the surgical technique groups.
Background and aim De Quervain's tenosynovitis (DQST) is a prevalent condition involving tendon inflammation in the wrist. This study compares the clinical and functional outcomes between patients receiving platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and those receiving corticosteroid injections for DQST. Methods A retrospective study conducted at Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar, India, included 58 patients with DQST, divided into Group A (PRP injection) and Group B (corticosteroid injection).
