Imine based positional isomers (8E)-N-(4-((E)-(perfluorophenylimino)methyl)benzylidene)-2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzenamine, L and (10E)-N-(3-(E-Perfluorophenylimino)methyl)benzylidene)-2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzenamine, L have been designed, and synthesized by functionalizing two electron deficient aromatic moieties at the para-para'/ortho-ortho' positions in the phenyl core of the L and L respectively. The responses of L and L towards various anionic species are examined. The positional isomers L and L differs not only by showing distinguishable color change upon addition of anions but also differentiates themselves by the way of self-assembling together upon binding with cyanide anion.

In the concept of a microstructured bubble column reactor, microstructuring of the catalyst carrier is realized by introducing a static mesh of thin wires coated with catalyst inside the column. Meanwhile, the wires also serve the purpose of cutting the bubbles, which in turn results in high interfacial area and enhanced interface hydrodynamics. However, there are no models that can predict the fate of bubbles (cut/stuck) passing through these wires, thus making the reactor optimization difficult.

In the concept of a microstructured bubble column reactor, meshes coated with catalyst can cut the bubbles, which in turn results in high interfacial area and enhanced interface hydrodynamics. In previous work, we developed a closure model for the fate of bubbles interacting with a wire mesh based on the outcomes of energy balance analysis. In this paper, the model is validated using Euler-Lagrange simulations against two experimental cases of microstructured bubble columns.

Objectives: The Tamil Nadu government mandated several stay-at-home orders, with restrictions of varying intensities, to contain the first two waves of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research investigates how such orders impacted child sexual abuse (CSA) by using counterfactual prediction to compare CSA statistics with those of other crimes. After adjusting for mobility, we investigate the relationship between situational factors and recorded levels of cases registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The fast evolution of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has developed into a prime environmental perturb in recent days. Today, electrical and electronic products merely become a needed part of people life's and professional lives. The whole process of e-waste contains an organized collection system, appropriate dismantling, and its treatment of recycling.
