Background And Objective: The depth of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) decline after androgen receptor pathway inhibitor (ARPI) treatment combined with androgen deprivation therapy for patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) may affect prognosis. The primary objective in our study was the correlation between the PSA response at 3 mo and radiologic progression-free survival (rPFS) at 24 mo. Three groups were defined according to the PSA decline: complete response (PSA ≤0.

This oil is refined for its human consumption bringing as a consequence an alteration of their properties. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the partially refined, bleached and deodorized palm oil (RBD red) on the lipid profile and levels of vitamin A (retinol) and E (alpha tocopherol) in 4 groups of rats: B (commercial food Protinal for laboratory animals: ST + 5% egg yolk powder); C (ST + 5% egg yolk powder + 14 RBD red) both groups with induced hyperlipidemia; and D (ST + 14% RBD red), as compared with a control A (ST) during 35 days.

Plasmatic Total Cholesterol (TC) and LDL-Cholesterol (LDLc) were determined by enzymatic methods and Vitamin E was determined in plasma by HPLC at weeks 0, 4 and 8. A histopathological study was carried out at week 8 (w 8), using a hematoxylin-eosin method.

Few studies have evaluated the relationship between drugs of abuse consumption and plasma levels of vitamin C. Because of the importance of vitamin C due to its role in prevention of acute and chronic diseases, this study was carried out with the purpose of testing the influence of consumption of drugs of abuse on the plasmatic levels of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) of 56 male chronic users of drugs of abuse with an age range of 16 to 40 years. The following was performed: 1) A survey of consumption to determine the kind, frequency and quantity of drug(s) used and 2) The plasmatic levels of vitamin C in fasting condition, using the Rue and Kuether method.
