The COVID-19 pandemic has not only posed alarming health challenges but also exacerbated the scenarios of intimate partner violence (IPV) against women globally. While global studies indicate a conspicuous increase in IPV during COVID-19 lockdowns; Indian studies exhibit mixed evidence. This ambiguity in world's most populous country underscores a greater need to examine the nexus between exposure to COVID-19 and IPV using a large nationally representative sample of India.

Background: Extraction of wisdom tooth is one of the most common surgical interventions, as it is more prone for impaction. Due to the pain and anxiety associated with the procedure, it is common to do this procedure under conscious sedation. However unexpected events do occur during the procedure and one such complication along with the prompt management is discussed here.

The study delves into the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) results in a cohort of 200 patients against diagnostic arthroscopy. Our institution conducted a comprehensive clinical examination of all patients with knee injuries, and those with affirmative findings suggestive of ligament disruption were subjected to an MRI scan.

However, existing inverse design tools based on finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) models are poorly suited for optimizing waveguide modes for adiabatic transformation or perturbative coupling, which lies at the heart of many important photonic devices. Among these, dispersion engineering of optical waveguides is especially challenging in ultrafast and nonlinear optical applications involving broad optical bandwidths and frequency-dependent anisotropic dielectric material response.
