Introduction: Discrimination exists in one form or another in every society, usually against those who are weaker, in fewer numbers, or different from the rest. Most physicians are empathetic towards their patients but can either not keep an eye on their subordinates or lack the power to act against such employees. Persons experiencing discrimination in healthcare centers may try to avoid or postpone future visits, resulting in delayed diagnosis and treatment of ailments.

FasterRib: A deep learning algorithm to automate identification and characterization of rib fractures on chest computed tomography scans.

Objective: Characterizing and enumerating rib fractures are critical to informing clinical decisions, yet in-depth characterization is rarely performed because of the manual burden of annotating these injuries on computed tomography (CT) scans. We hypothesized that our deep learning model, FasterRib , could predict the location and percentage displacement of rib fractures using chest CT scans.

Methods: The development and internal validation cohort comprised more than 4,700 annotated rib fractures from 500 chest CT scans within the public RibFrac.

Enhancing the electrochemical performance of TiO based material using microwave air plasma treatment with an ECR cavity.

The microwave-based plasma treatment facility at the Central University of Punjab Bathinda (CUPB) based on 2.45 GHz has been used to investigate the impact on the electrochemical performance of TiO. Ketamine infusion as a sedative-analgesic in severe ARDS (KISS).

Rationale: Ketamine has been used as a sedative analgesic in trauma setting, but data regarding its efficacy and safety is lacking in severe ARDS. This retrospective study aims to determine if Ketamine is safer as a sedative agent in mechanically ventilated patients. During the COVID pandemic, as there was a shortage of sedative agents, Ketamine was used.
