New therapeutic agents in oncology are emerging rapidly, both in terms of the number of approved drugs and the technological and biological innovation of new treatments. Antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) offer a promising cancer therapy by specifically targeting tumor cells. ADC are composed of a monoclonal antibody recognizing the tumor cell via specific antigens, coupled with a potent cytotoxic agent that resembles classical chemotherapy.

The gold standard for diagnosis is microscopic analysis, but this requires a laboratory setting, trained staff, and infrastructure and is therefore typically slow and dependent on the experience of the technician. This study introduces, for the first time, a biomimetic sensing platform for the direct detection of the disease.

Background: Determining esophageal and colon involvement in patients with Chagas disease occurs through invasive and uncomfortable examinations, which in most cases are not performed. The objective of this study was to assess the involvement of anti-M2-pyruvate kinase (M2-PK) autoantibodies in the development of digestive alterations and/or in the diagnosis of the digestive form of human Chagas disease.
Methods: The total IgG and isotype (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, IgG4) production was quantified using the antigen of Trypanosoma cruzi and the human M2-PK recombinant protein via the ELISA technique.
Background: Double cycling with breath-stacking (DC/BS) during controlled mechanical ventilation is considered potentially injurious, reflecting a high respiratory drive. During partial ventilatory support, its occurrence might be attributable to physiological variability of breathing patterns, reflecting the response of the mode without carrying specific risks.
Methods: This secondary analysis of a crossover study evaluated DC/BS events in hypoxemic patients resuming spontaneous breathing in cross-over under neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA), proportional assist ventilation (PAV +), and pressure support ventilation (PSV).

Food insecurity violates the right to regular access to quality food, affecting population groups unequally. In Brazil, FI is associated with both malnutrition and increased obesity and is intertwined with racial and gender inequalities, perpetuating cycles of poverty and social exclusion. This protocol aims to select observational studies that evaluate the association between food insecurity and overweight and their intersectional discussions (gender and race/color).
