[Antioxidant activity of a new derivative of 4-hydrazinoquinazoline in experimental cerebral hypoxia].

It is established that KS-79 compound possesses the high level of antioxidant activity and realizes its antioxidant effect at initial stages of free-radical hydrogen peroxide oxidation of lipids. Due to this ability it differs from the oxidants of direct-type action.

[Pharmaceutical protection of brain in ischemia and reperfusion experiments].

The results of the use of medicamentous protection of the brain under conditions of modelled ischemia and reperfusion by means of KS-79 preparation are presented. In exclusion of blood flow through the carotid arteries for the period commensurate to that in the clinic, it was established that the use of KS-79 preparation possessing the anti-ischemic and antioxidant properties has pronounced cerebro-prospective action, preserves functional and structural integrity of the brain.

[Effect of quinazopyrine on the process of reparative regeneration].

The effect of quinazopyrine on skin wound healing in rats was studied. Quinazopyrine was found to stimulate synthesis of nucleic acids, maturation of fibroblasts and to increase mechanical strength of the postoperative scar. This effect retains in animals with alloxan-induced diabetes.
