One possible target, the Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (Ndk) is significant for nucleotide biosynthesis and crucial for fungal metabolism. Violacein, a natural food colorant, was examined for its antifungal effects against Aspergillus fumigatus via computational approach against the Ndk protein.
