Supportive public policies are suggested as ways to lessen gentrification's impact for older adults. While explicit policies designed to help older adults with gentrification are rare, literature on age-friendly cities is a close proxy. We utilized three North American cases undergoing gentrification: New York City, NY, and Denver, CO, in the United States and Hamilton, in Ontario, Canada, to present existing neighbourhood-based policies as social determinants of health in housing, resource access, healthcare, transportation, and communal places.

Heterologous COVID-19 vaccine boosters have not been evaluated for patients with hematological malignancies. A Novavax booster was administered for 56 individuals with hematological malignancies who had received a primary COVID-19 series and prior boosters with mRNA vaccines only. Blood specimens were obtained at baseline (pre-vaccine), 28 days, and 168 days after vaccination with the Novavax booster.

As we learn to co-exist with COVID-19, this Research Topic highlights significant research contributions that examine the interaction of COVID-19 and the social determinants of health. To emphasize the impactful research in this area, this Research Topic features scholarly contributions in the fields of Epidemiology, specifically Aging and Life-course Epidemiology, and Public Health, specifically Public Health Policy. Importance: The US 340B Drug Pricing Program enables eligible hospitals to receive substantial discounts on outpatient drugs to improve hospitals' financial sustainability and maintain access to care for patients who have low income and/or are uninsured. However, it is unclear whether hospitals use program savings to subsidize access as intended.

Objective: To evaluate whether the 340B program is associated with improvements in access to hospital-based services and to test whether the association varies by hospital ownership.
