Kisspeptin (KISS1) and its cognate receptor (KISS1R) are implicated in the progression of various cancers. A gallium-68 labelled kisspeptin-10 (KP10), the minimal biologically active structure, has potential as a pan-tumour radiopharmaceutical for the detection of cancers. Furthermore, a lutetium-177 labelled KP10 could find therapeutic application in treating oncological diseases.

Non-contrast ultrasound assessment of blood flow in clinical practice.

Since the first clinical use of ultrasound in the 1940s, significant advancements have been made in its applications. Color Doppler imaging and power Doppler imaging are considered the first and second generations of flow ultrasound assessment tools, respectively. Subsequently, the introduction of contrastenhanced ultrasound has significantly improved the assessment of arterial and venous vascular patterns in lesions and vessels.

Exploring patient experiences of surveillance for pancreatic cystic neoplasms: a qualitative study.

Background: Pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCN) are considered premalignant conditions to pancreatic adenocarcinoma with varying degrees of cancerous potential. Management for individuals who do not require surgical treatment involves surveillance to assess for cancerous progression. Little is known about patients' experience and the impact of living with surveillance for these lesions.

The signals that regulate peripheral blood vessel formation during development are still under investigation. The hormone leptin promotes blood vessel formation, adipose tissue establishment and expansion, tumor growth, and wound healing, but the underlying mechanisms for these actions are currently unknown. We investigated whether leptin promotes angiogenesis in the developing tail fin using embryonic transgenic xflk-1:GFP Xenopus laevis, which express a green fluorescent protein on vascular endothelial cells to mark blood vessels.

Local and wide-scale livestock movement networks inform disease control strategies in East Africa.

Livestock mobility exacerbates infectious disease risks across sub-Saharan Africa, but enables critical access to grazing and water resources, and trade. Identifying locations of high livestock traffic offers opportunities for targeted control. We focus on Tanzanian agropastoral and pastoral communities that account respectively for over 75% and 15% of livestock husbandry in eastern Africa.
