Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) significantly contributes to increased morbidity, reduced life expectancy, and higher healthcare costs due to the burden of comorbidities. This study assessed the prevalence of comorbidities in PsA patients in India and explored the influence of age and disease duration on these comorbidities.
Methods: The prospective, multicenter observational study was conducted across seven centers in India, utilizing data from the Indian Rheumatology Association.
Background: The prognosis in patients with advanced cardiac amyloidosis (CA) remains poor.
Objectives: We sought to describe survival post heart transplantation (HT) in amyloid compared with non-amyloid recipients, highlight waitlist times within the new allocation system across three Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) regions, and describe multiorgan transplantation (MOT) in hereditary amyloidosis.
Methods: This is a retrospective review of end-stage CA patients who underwent HT at Mayo Clinic from January 2007 to December 2020.
The world's one of the major causes of death are cancer. Cancer is still a complex disease over the years that needs to be cured. Methods: This study validated the analytical performance of two amplicon-based NGS assays, the Oncomine Comprehensive Panel (OCAv3) and the Oncomine Focus Assay (OFA), for detecting gene amplification in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumors of varying cellularity. OCAv3 was assessed for amplification detection in 756 FFPE samples comprising various tumor types.
