  • The study aimed to improve the diagnosis and surgical treatment of insulinoma and nesidioblastosis in patients with organic hyperinsulinism.
  • A total of 42 patients were treated using various imaging techniques and surgical approaches, revealing a high sensitivity for identifying the conditions, especially with arterial-stimulated blood sampling (100% sensitivity).
  • Post-surgery, the overall complication rate was 33.3%, but there were no cases of recurrent hypoglycemia after a mean follow-up of 18.7 months.

21 patients with nonparasitic spleen cysts were operated. Robot-assisted (RA) interventions were applied in 10 cases, laparoscopic--in 11 patients. Men surgery duration was 124 minutes in case of RA-technique and 120 minutes if laparoscopy was used.
