A Review on Integrating Breast Cancer Clinical Data: A Unified Platform Perspective.

Integrating clinical datasets in breast cancer research emerges as a necessary tool for advancing our knowledge of the disease and enhancing patient outcomes. Synthesizing diverse datasets offers advantages, from facilitating evidence-based insights to enabling predictive analytics and precision medicine strategies. Crucially, effective integration of clinical datasets necessitates collaborative efforts, policy interventions, and technological advancements to elevate global standards of breast cancer care.

Basic Science and Pathogenesis.

Background: Diabetes is a modifiable risk factor for Alzheimer's disease, and GLUT4, an insulin-dependent transporter, plays a crucial role in insulin-resistant conditions and, consequently, in diabetes development. The study aimed to investigate the relationship between tau pathology and insulin resistance by quantifying GLUT4 expression and glucose concentration.

Method: Initially, SH-SY5Y cells underwent transfection with either a wild-type tau plasmid or a mutant tau plasmid.

Basic Science and Pathogenesis.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is neurodegenerative disease brought on by a combination of changes in multiple pathways that conglomerate to promote disease progression. AD often occurs alongside comorbid diseases, most often immune or vascular in nature, which have been shown to further increase AD risk. We previously showed that known AD variants also associate with secondary diseases in these categories, including rheumatoid arthritis, ischemic myocardial infarction, and both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Clinical Manifestations.

Background: SARS CoV-2, neurotrophic virus in response to neuroinflammation causing varying cognitive deficits in post pandemic period. New onset rapidly progressive cognitive decline and deterioration in degenerative dementia has been seen in clinics in recent times. The paradigm shift of presentation of dementia needs detailed evaluation to facilitate further management.
