Objective: To explore changes to rural nursing and allied health placements during the latter stage of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Setting: Regional, rural and remote Australia.

Participants: Nursing and allied health students with a scheduled University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) facilitated rural placement between 1 January 2022 and 31 October 2022.

Influences on improved confidence among allied health students in working with Australian Indigenous people during a rural placement: a pre-post survey study.

Background: Together with addressing social determinants of health, culturally safe healthcare provision is essential for closing the health outcomes gap experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous) Australians. Rural placements potentially provide students of the health professions with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills regarding cultural safety. We used rural placements data systematically collected from allied health students, including commencement- and end-of-placement questionnaire responses, to investigate the determinants of confidence in working with Indigenous people.

Introduction: In rural areas, work-integrated learning in the form of health student placements has several potential benefits, including contributing to student learning, enhancing rural health service capacity and attracting future rural health workforce. Understanding what constitutes a high-quality rural placement experience is important for enhancing these outcomes. There is no current standardised definition of quality in the context of rural health placements, nor is there understanding of how this can be achieved across different rural contexts.

Objective: To conduct a nationwide retrospective cohort study to assess trends and hospitalization-associated outcomes in patients with Wernicke encephalopathy.

Patients And Methods: In this nationwide retrospective cohort study, we used in-hospital claims data of patients hospitalized with Wernicke encephalopathy in Switzerland from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2020. We estimated incidence rates per 100,000 person-years among the overall Swiss population stratified by alcohol and non-alcohol-induced Wernicke encephalopathy.

An Empirical Study on the Relationship between New Energy Vehicle' Export Sophistication and Industrial Structure Upgrading in China.

Following decades of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation industry, most car companies will stop producing petrol cars and promote the development of new energy vehicles in the near future, even in China. This study is based on energy vehicle exports using China's 31 provinces' panel data from 2010 to 2020. Considering that China mainly engages in processing trade, this study analyzes the domestic energy vehicle's export sophistication after deleting intermediate goods, measuring the relationship between export sophistication and industrial upgrading with static and dynamic panel models.
