Background: Bipolar disorder (BD) has been associated with impaired cellular resilience. Recent studies have shown abnormalities in the unfolded protein response (UPR) in BD. The UPR is the cellular response to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.

By superimposing a high-frequency sinusoidal modulation on the control signal, we extract the amplitude of the resulting tunneling current to obtain a di/dz measurement as the tip is scanned over the surface. A feedback control loop is then closed to maintain a constant di/dz, enhancing the sensitivity of the tip to subtle surface variations throughout a scan.

The sole aim of this study was to assess the effect of urea on Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). For this purpose, the fish fingerlings were exposed to increasing concentrations of urea such as 0, 1, 2.

Several GntR/FadR regulators govern the metabolism of sugar acids, carbon sources implicated in bacterial-host interactions. Although effectors are known for a few sugar acid regulators, the unavailability of relevant structures has left their allosteric mechanism unexplored.
