After a massive decline, the Griffon Vulture () population in Bulgaria has now stabilised as a result of the hard work of conservation programmes, although it is still listed as an Endangered species (EN) in the country's Red Data Book. Due to a series of unfortunate events, another species - the Cinereous Vulture () became extinct in Bulgaria and recovered only recently due to systematic re-introduction efforts. Along with the poor living conditions, a predisposing factor for the decreasing population of the vultures is the fact they hatch only a single egg; two may be laid on exceptions.

One potential approach is to develop molecules that force bacteria to hyper-activate prodrug antibiotics, thus rendering them more effective. In the present work, we aimed to obtain proof-of-concept data to support that small molecules targeting transcriptional regulators can potentiate the antibiotic activity of the prodrug metronidazole (MTZ) against Escherichia coli under aerobic conditions.

For low-alloyed dual-phase (DP) steels it is usually ferrite and martensite, while for medium-Mn steels retained austenite is also formed. In a present study, a wide intercritical temperature range was applied to a 5% Mn steel to investigate possible microstructure combinations: ranging from fully ferritic, through ferritic-austenitic, multiphase, to fully martensitic, which were next investigated in terms of mechanical properties to clarify the behavior of this type of material.

In Bulgaria, Western Saker Falcons are breeding in the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre, part of Green Balkans - Stara Zagora NGO, with the aim of restoring the nesting population of the species in the country and both Western and Eastern - in the Breeding Centre for Birds of Prey in Burgas for the purpose of sale for the needs of falconry in the country and abroad. In 2021, a total of 115 birds from the two breeding centres were sampled.

Additionally, black esophagus may even be reversible in some cases. There are far fewer cases of black stomach described.
