A clinical trial of the Bentley BOS-5 pediatric oxygenator.

The performance of the Bentley BOS-5 pediatric oxygenator was evaluated on the basis of its response to maintain arterial pH between 7.35 and 7.45, arterial pO(2) between 100 and 200 mm Hg, and arterial pCO(2) between 35 and 45 mm Hg (Texas Heart Institute perfusion protocol).
