Correctional facilities serve as a key location to identify and treat those with HIV given high rates of HIV seen in justice-involved individuals; however, substantial barriers exist to accessing HIV care in the community upon release. In response to restricted in-person activities due to COVID-19, the County of Santa Clara (SCC) Jail launched a telephonic visits program in January 2021 to link justice-involved individuals diagnosed with HIV to community HIV care following release. Telephonic visits were conducted by social workers from SCC Public Health Department; these visits entailed conducting an HIV needs assessment, providing education, and offering support services.

We previously described C19-SPAR-Seq, a high-throughput, next-generation sequencing platform to detect SARS-CoV-2 that we here deployed to systematically profile variant dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 for over 3 years in a large, North American urban environment (Toronto, Canada). Sequencing of the ACE2 receptor binding motif and polybasic furin cleavage site of the Spike gene in over 70,000 patients revealed that population sweeps of canonical variants of concern (VOCs) occurred in repeating wavelets.

TROPOMI XCH provided insights into the distribution across the entire Iberian Peninsula, highlighting the high XCH mixing ratios in the two main valleys and the southern sub-plateau, characterized by agricultural and livestock activities. The marine-continental region in the southwestern Iberian Peninsula was identified as a major CH hot spot.

We present a case of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) following the initiation of nintedanib. The patient's presentation prompted a drug holiday of nintedanib, resulting in a marked improvement in her symptoms.
