 To evaluate the correlation between a radiographic scale of lumbar degenerative disease and the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).  A cross-sectional study in which the ODI quality of life questionnaire and the radiographic parameters for the classification of lumbar degenerative disease into different grades were compared to try to establish a relationship between them.  The relationship between the radiographic parameters and quality of life indicators does not behave homogeneously, considering the different grades of the lumbar grading scale.

Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) can significantly impair quality of life, but often remains undiagnosed due to limited clinic time, lack of specialist expertise and lack of patient awareness. There are several validated questionnaires for diagnosing PN, but the time taken to administer them in busy primary care clinics limits their utilization. A new, simpler questionnaire was developed following an advisory board meeting in Southeast Asia and was further refined and translated to Portuguese and Spanish following a second advisory board meeting in Latin America.

Introduction: Judo, a martial art created by Jigoro Kano in 1882, is a martial art promoting physical and spiritual development. Despite its "gentle way" philosophy, it poses a significant risk for cervical spine injuries, often resulting from throws and ground techniques.

Methods: This cross-sectional study analyzed cervical injuries among professional judo athletes from January to July 2024.

To gain further insight into the conformational properties of small cyclic peptides that bind to the G-protein coupled receptor C5aR1, we report here for the first time the elucidation of three peptide solution conformations using residual dipolar couplings and NMR temperature coefficients. Each of these peptides varies by at least one amino acid, adopts a different intramolecular hydrogen bonding pattern, and has a different solution conformation. The solution conformations were used in combination with a homology structure of C5aR1 as a design template for increasing the potency of peptide leads for the C5a receptor.
