Paraneoplastic retinopathy (PR) is a rare autoimmune condition typically associated with progressive visual loss and is often linked to anti-recoverin antibodies. Paraneoplastic optic neuropathy (PON) is classically associated with collapsin response-mediator protein (CRMP-5). We present a unique case of non-progressive CRMP-5-associated perifoveal retinitis in a 79-year-old female with a history of breast carcinoma, who has maintained a stable visual acuity over an extended follow-up period of three years.

This study evaluated several preanalytical handling and storage factors common to β-amyloid1-42 (Aβ1-42), β-amyloid1-40 (Aβ1-40), and phosphorylated tau (pTau181) concentrations including storage at different temperatures, extended cap contact, various mixing methods, and multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Methods: Aβ1-42, Aβ1-40, and pTau181 concentrations were measured using LUMIPULSE G1200 automated assays.
Even though molecules are fundamentally quantum entities, the concept of a molecule retains certain classical attributes concerning its constituents. This includes the empirical separability of a molecule into its three-dimensional, rigid structure in Euclidean space, a framework often obtained through experimental methods like X-Ray crystallography. In this work, we delve into the mathematical implications of partitioning a molecule into its constituent parts using the widely recognized Atoms-In-Molecules (AIM) schemes, aiming to establish their validity within the framework of Information Theory concepts.

One important application is finding reference limits and detection limits. Parametric analyses yield better estimates and measures of their uncertainty than nonparametric approaches, which rely solely on a few extreme values.

The probe for the study is the hydrogenic identity abstraction reaction. In order to perform the analysis, the reactivity pattern of the reaction is examined by use of the aforementioned functionals of the single-particle density, which is analyzed in position () and momentum () spaces.
