From schools of thought to an ecology of practices: Categorizing circular economy's futures.

In response to pressing societal challenges, scholars are increasingly focusing on research aimed at fostering sustainable futures. We contribute to that discussion by theorizing the circular economy (CE) as an "ecology of practices." The ecology of practices concept helps to make sense of a developing field that has been heavily practitioner-driven.

Women's experience of body weight management during and post-pregnancy: a mixed methods approach.

Background: Gaining excessive weight during pregnancy has been linked with adverse effects including increased risk of caesarean delivery and postpartum weight retention. Despite these recognised risks, currently no UK/Ireland gestational weight gain (GWG) guidelines exist, women are not routinely weighed throughout pregnancy and consequently, women's understanding of the importance of weight management during, and post-pregnancy remains poor. The present study explored factors influencing weight change during and post-pregnancy and identified potential opportunities that could help women manage weight during these periods.

Biodiversity impacts of the 2019-2020 Australian megafires.

With large wildfires becoming more frequent, we must rapidly learn how megafires impact biodiversity to prioritize mitigation and improve policy. A key challenge is to discover how interactions among fire-regime components, drought and land tenure shape wildfire impacts. The globally unprecedented 2019-2020 Australian megafires burnt more than 10 million hectares, prompting major investment in biodiversity monitoring.

Radiologic evaluation in the diagnosis of diplopia due to unilateral accessory extraocular muscle.

This case report details a case of a 52-year-old female with a history of diplopia and an elevation deficit in her right eye. Initially misdiagnosed as an atavistic retractor bulbi muscle in 2005 via MRI, symptoms persisted despite surgical excision. Follow-up MRI in 2023 confirmed no changes, ruling out other causes like nerve palsy or schwannoma, and ultimately guiding diagnosis towards an accessory extraocular muscle.
