Objectives: The acetabular cup design plays a critical role in reducing contact stress between femur head acetabular cup. Many studies used ellipsoidal and spheroidal geometry in acetabular cup design to effectively reduce contact stress. The present study focuses on elevated acetabular cup rim with round corner design to reduce contact stress with round corner geometry.

The productivity of rice is greatly affected by the infection of the plant pathogenic fungus , which causes a significant grain yield reduction globally. There exist a limited number of rice accessions that are available to develop sheath blight resistance (ShB). Our objective was to identify a good source of the ShB resistance, understand the heritability, and trait interactions, and identify the genomic regions for ShB resistance traits by genome-wide association studies (GWAS).

Due to the expansion of residents, the consumption of non-renewable energy increased enormously, thus indirectly increasing pollution and affecting the surroundings. To reduce pollutions in the surroundings, it is recommended to choose non-conventional energy sources. By satisfying this, we can probably decrease the non-renewable sources of energy, by consuming the solar power in day-to-day life in the application of food drying process.

Powder Metallurgy (PM) was used to synthesize SiC (0, 5, 10, 15 & 20 wt%) and 1 wt% Yttria (YO) reinforced aluminium (Al) metal matrix composites. The Al-SiC-YO hybrid composites samples were prepared for density (ρ), hardness (VHN), mechanical, tribological, and microstructural studies in accordance with ASTM standards. SEM images revealed an even spreading of SiC particles throughout the Al matrix and composition was verified by the characterization techniques.
