In the present study, the sound absorption performance of inhomogeneous Micro-Perforated Panels (MPPs) with multiple cavities is investigated. Two models, a three-cavity system and a four-cavity system, are proposed and a numerical study is performed using MATLAB. The models are validated through experimental analysis in an impedance tube.

Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor family (transcription factor E3 or transcription factor EB) translocation renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) are rare neoplasms. These renal neoplasms can be either asymptomatic and incidentally discovered on imaging or symptomatic, with the most common presenting symptoms being hematuria, pain, and abdominal mass, or paraneoplastic event. In conventional RCCs, hypertension is considered a risk factor and a possible paraneoplastic event, whereas, in translocation RCCs, prior exposure to cytotoxic chemotherapy is the only known risk factor, and hypertension as an isolated associated paraneoplastic event has never been reported.

Rice production is adversely affected by biotic and abiotic stresses. Among the biotic stresses, brown planthopper (BPH) majorly affects the rice yield. Comprehending the genome and candidate players is essential for the resistance to BPH.

We present a numerical investigation of the processes that influenced the contrasting rapid intensity changes in Tropical Cyclones (TC) Phailin and Lehar (2013) over the Bay of Bengal. Our emphasis is on the significant differences in the environments experienced by the TCs within a few weeks and the consequent differences in their organization of vortex-scale convection that resulted in their different rapid intensity changes. The storm-relative proximity, intensity, and depth of the subtropical ridge resulted in the establishment of a low-sheared environment for Phailin and a high-sheared environment for Lehar.
