Clinical Issue: Psychophysiological assessments and biofeedback-based interventions for chronic for chronic pain can be highly effective. The purpose of this clinical consultation was to provide an overview of the psychophysiological assessment process and present a primer on biofeedback for chronic pain. The biofeedback process was presented by a biofeedback content expert, with photos and diagrams.

Cancer Incidence among Marines and Navy Personnel and Civilian Workers Exposed to Industrial Solvents in Drinking Water at US Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune: A Cohort Study.

Background: Drinking water at US Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was contaminated with trichloroethylene and other industrial solvents from 1953 to 1985.

Methods: A cohort cancer incidence study was conducted of Marines/Navy personnel who began service and were stationed at Camp Lejeune () or Camp Pendleton, California () between 1975 and 1985 and civilian workers employed at Camp Lejeune () or Camp Pendleton () between October 1972 and December 1985. Camp Pendleton's drinking water was not contaminated with industrial solvents.

Glycemic Control in Diabetic Foot Ulcers: A Comparative Analysis of Wound and Wound-free Periods in Adults With Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

Objective: Our aim in this study was to determine whether there are differences in glycemia during wound and wound-free states among individuals with diabetes at a multidisciplinary diabetic foot and wound clinic from 2012 to 2019.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data over 7.4 years from the Johns Hopkins Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot and Wound Clinic.

Culinary Home Empowerment for Food Waste Prevention and Minimization: Feasibility and Efficacy Protocol.

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of a household food-waste prevention and minimization intervention, titled the Culinary Home Empowerment for Food Waste Prevention and Minimization (CHEF-WPM), which consists of a culinary education video series for home cooks. The specific aims are to (1) assess the effects of the intervention at a population level across process (feasibility, usage, acceptability, satisfaction) and preliminary efficacy (motivation, opportunity, ability) metrics and (2) assess the effects of the intervention at a community level across process (feasibility, usage, acceptability, satisfaction) and preliminary efficacy (motivation, opportunity, ability, household food waste, sustainable dietary practices) metrics. The intervention includes eight modules, each containing three to five brief videos, as well as downloadable recipes and worksheets.
