Introduction: Low grade serous ovarian carcinoma (LGSOC) is a rare subtype of ovarian cancer (OC) that is challenging to treat due to its relative chemoresistance. Given that LGSOC patients often recur in the peritoneal cavity, novel intraperitoneal (IP) chemotherapy should be explored. Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy (PIPAC) is a method that has demonstrated peritoneal disease control in cancers with peritoneal metastases.

Uterine cancer restaging according to the updated 2023 FIGO Guidelines does not uniformly affect prognosis: An institutional retrospective cohort study.

Objective: Efforts have been made to better risk stratify patients given the rise in incidence of endometrial cancer (EC). The 2023 FIGO staging now incorporates histologic subtype and molecular classification into determination of EC stage. We sought to elucidate if the new staging system demonstrated prognostic differences compared to the 2009 staging system.

The effect of food deserts on gynecologic cancer survival.

Objective: Living in a food desert is a known negative health risk, with recent literature finding an associated higher mortality in patients with cancers. Gynecologic cancers have not specifically been studied. We aimed to describe patients with gynecologic cancers who live in a food desert and determine if there is an association between living in a food desert and gynecologic cancer mortality.
