Background: Deep learning (DL) has set new standards in cancer diagnosis, significantly enhancing the accuracy of automated classification of whole slide images (WSIs) derived from biopsied tissue samples. To enable DL models to process these large images, WSIs are typically divided into thousands of smaller tiles, each containing 10-50 cells. Multiple Instance Learning (MIL) is a commonly used approach, where WSIs are treated as bags comprising numerous tiles (instances) and only bag-level labels are provided during training.

Protected area coverage has grown dramatically since the introduction of several high-profile biodiversity prioritization schemes, but the impact of such schemes on protected area establishment has not been evaluated. We used matching methods and a Before-After Control-Impact causal analysis to evaluate the impact of two key prioritization schemes-Biodiversity Hotspots and Last of the Wild-representing examples of the reactive and proactive ends of the prioritization spectrum.

Objectives: There is limited consensus on the optimal strategy for surgical treatment of severe tricuspid valve pathology. At our institution, we have implemented a unique technique of using a tricuspid homograft with its supporting apparatus for partial replacement of the native tricuspid valve. We now present the long-term outcomes of these patients.

Understanding how these factors influence bone morphology is important for interpreting the behaviour and ecology of such species. This study aimed to determine the extent to which Panthera pardus (i.

Over the last two decades the importance of vitamin D in maternal and child health has been highlighted. The aim of this pilot study was to examine the relationship of BPA and its naturally occurring metabolite BPA-glucuronide (BPA-g) with 25-hydoxy vitamin D (25OHD) levels in South African mother-child pairs.
