Objective: Studying dentists' knowledge of dry mouth management is crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment, improving patient outcomes and oral health. This study aimed to evaluate their knowledge and awareness of dry mouth and its predictors.

Materials And Methods: A pre-validated online survey was administered to a convenience sample of dentists across six countries.

Suspension Bead Loading (SBL): An Economical Protein Delivery Platform to Study URM1's Behavior in Live Cells.

Uniquely modified synthetic proteins are difficult to produce in large quantities, which could limit their use in various in vitro settings and in cellular studies. In this study, we developed a method named "suspension bead loading" (SBL), to deliver protein molecules into suspended living cells using glass beads, which significantly reduces the amount of protein required for effective delivery. We investigated the delivery efficiency of functionally different proteins and evaluated the cytotoxic effect of our method and the chemical and functional integrity of the delivered protein.

Prevalence of Keratoconus and Characteristics of Refractive Errors in First-Degree Relatives of Patients With Keratoconus Among Egyptians.

Purpose: This study investigated the occurrence of keratoconus among first-degree relatives of patients with keratoconus and evaluated their refractive characteristics.

Method: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on 248 relatives of 52 patients with keratoconus in whom bilateral eye analysis was conducted. Corneal tomography was performed for all participants with a comprehensive analysis of various parameters, including K1, K2, Kmax, elevation, skewing, and thinnest location.
