Extraosseous Ewing sarcoma: Expanding the differential diagnosis of supraclavicular fossa tumors.

A broad spectrum of diseases can be included in the differential diagnosis of neck masses. We report a case of extraosseous Ewing sarcoma that presented as a neck mass in a 70-year-old man. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of extraosseous Ewing sarcoma of the supraclavicular fossa.

Crystalline polymorphism and molecular structure of sodium pravastatin.

In this work different crystallization processes of sodium pravastatin are explored and a new polymorph is obtained. The analytical results of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and thermal analysis for this new polymorph indicate that it is different from the polymorphs previously reported. Clinical implications of temperature curve complexity in critically ill patients.

Objective: In certain physiologic systems, disease is associated with a loss of complexity in system's output. We test the hypothesis that, in critically ill patients, there is an inverse relation between the complexity of the temperature curve and the clinical status. We also consider whether complexity analysis of the temperature curve may have prognostic value.
