Purpose: Remote symptom monitoring of patients with cancer has previously shown potential for improving clinical outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of remote symptom monitoring in patients with lung cancer after palliative induction treatment.

Background: The success of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy for hematological malignancies has not yet translated into long-term elimination of solid tumors indicating the need for adequately tuning CAR T cell functionality.

Methods: We leveraged a translational pipeline including biophysical characterization and structural prediction of the CAR binding moiety, evaluation of cellular avidity, synapse formation, T cell motility, and functional capacities under repetitive target challenge and in sustained tumor control.

Results: As an example of clinical relevance, we derived a panel of anti-Her2 CARs covering a 4-log affinity range, all expected to target the same Her2 epitope.

Objectives: Patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures are commonly used in clinical practice, and an important aspect is how healthcare professionals use these measures to make clinical decisions. This study aimed 1) to understand how remote electronic symptom monitoring using PRO measures can support oncology nurses' clinical decision-making in patients with metastatic lung cancer and 2) to explore factors that potentially can influence how remote symptom monitoring supports clinical decision-making.

Data Sources: A qualitative approach using semistructured interviews was conducted with 18 registered nurses working with remote symptom monitoring at oncology departments at eight Danish hospitals.

Bothrops and Lachesis are two of Brazil's medically most relevant snake genera, causing tens of thousands of bites annually. Fortunately, Brazil has good accessibility to high-quality antivenoms at the genus and inter-genus level, enabling the treatment of many of these envenomings. However, the optimal use of these treatments requires that the snake species responsible for the bite is determined.
