This investigation focused on the influence of collagen on the integrity of the Schneiderian membrane during maxillary sinus augmentation in a rabbit model. The aim of this study was to elucidate the relationship between membrane integrity and bone regeneration in augmented maxillary sinuses using collagenated and non-collagenated grafts, through detailed histological and histomorphometric analyses. In this forward-looking, randomized, split-mouth design, bilateral maxillary sinus augmentation was conducted on 12 rabbits.

Andrade-Silva et al. revealed that the cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase-stimulator of interferon genes pathway can enhance ER stress through the protein kinase R-like ER kinase (PERK)-mediated signaling cascade in kidney tubular epithelial cells and sequentially augment fibrosis during kidney injury.

Aging affects emotional, cognitive, and social functions, increasing susceptibility to neuropsychiatric conditions. C57BL/6 mice are commonly used to study aging mechanisms, yet differences between C57BL/6J and C57BL/6N substrains remain underexplored. This study compared aging-related behavioral changes in these substrains.

Methods: BioTrace utilizes a proprietary algorithm to analyze the temporo-spatial behavior of thermal gas bubble activity during ablation, as seen in conventional B-mode ultrasound imaging. Its predictive accuracy was assessed by comparing the ablation zones it predicted with those annotated by radiologists using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) 24 hours post-treatment, considered the gold standard.
