Dust aerosols significantly impact climate, human health, and ecosystems, but how land cover changes (LCC) influence dust concentrations remains unclear. Here, we applied the Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) to assess the effects of LCC on dust aerosol concentrations from 2000 to 2020 in northern China. Based on land cover data derived from multi-source satellite remote sensing data, we conducted two simulation scenarios: one incorporating actual annual LCC and another assuming static land cover since 2000.

However, it remains unclear whether the type 5 resistant starch (RS5) exhibits similar effects. In this study, RS5 was prepared from native starch and lauric acid through a hydrothermal method for the first time, and its nutritional intervention effects on hyperlipidemia in mice were investigated.

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disease primarily affecting the central facial region, significantly involving the facial blood vessels and the sebaceous gland units associated with hair follicles. The stellate ganglion block (SGB) technique can restore balance to autonomic nervous function by interrupting the impulse conduction of preganglionic and postganglionic sympathetic nerve fibers, thereby alleviating excessive peripheral blood vessel contraction, enhancing tissue blood supply, balancing hormone secretion, and modulating immune responses. SGB has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in treating various skin conditions affecting the head, face, and neck.

CB1Rs in the developing primary visual cortex (V1) play a key role in the maturation of inhibitory circuits. Although CB1Rs were originally thought to reside mainly on presynaptic axon terminals, several studies have highlighted an unexpected role for astrocytic CB1Rs in endocannabinoid mediated plasticity.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the risk factors and predictors of non-obese fatty liver disease in the Chinese population.
Patients And Methods: A total of 6,014 adults who underwent physical examinations at Union Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from March 2019 to March 2023 were included in this study. Fatty liver disease was diagnosed based on at least two of the following criteria: diffuse echo patterns relative to the liver, spleen, and kidney; ultrasonic beam attenuation; and poor intrahepatic visual details.
