This qualitative study explored stakeholder perspectives on the Australian Supported Wage System (SWS), including perceptions of fairness and equity.

Resuming work roles after injury in a low-income context: Multiple factors influencing the return to work outcomes.

Background: Return to work (RTW) is an important outcome indicator for the effectiveness of rehabilitation services, and the functional status and overall recovery among individuals who have experienced injury. Despite the rising incidence of traumatic injury among economically productive citizens in Ethiopia, there is a paucity of evidence about the RTW status of injury survivors. This study examined factors associated with RTW success and determinants of time to RTW after injury in Ethiopia.

Exploring the Connection between Social Housing and Employment: A Scoping Review.

Adequate housing is a social determinant of health and well-being, providing stability from which people can engage in important life activities, including self-care and productivity. Social housing is a system-level intervention that aims to provide affordable housing to people vulnerable to experiencing social and economic marginalisation. Given the importance of employment to social-economic status and overall health and well-being, we sought to better understand the available knowledge and research related to employment and living in a social housing environment.

Essential Occupational Therapy Competencies for Low Vision and Blindness.

The prevalence of low vision and blindness in persons across the lifespan means that occupational therapists will encounter these conditions across all areas of practice. Practitioners must be equipped with competencies necessary to recognize and respond to vision loss-related concerns. This study sought to identify essential occupational therapy competencies when providing services to people with low vision and blindness.

Disability stigma and the pursuit of inclusion among children with physical disabilities in northwest Ethiopia.

Purpose: Globally, many children with physical disabilities (CwPDs) are excluded from their education and social life, mainly due to stigma and its effects. However, information on disability stigma is scarce in low-and middle-income countries like Ethiopia. The purpose of this study, therefore, was to explore the lived experience of stigma from the perspective of CwPDs and their caregivers in northwest Ethiopia.
