Idiopathic left ovarian vein thrombosis was diagnosed in a 27-year-old woman at the time of a diagnostic laparoscopy performed because of a suspected ovarian torsion. The diagnosis was confirmed by abdominal computed tomography scanning. Subsequent magnetic resonance imaging showed no signs of an abdominal or pelvic mass nor enlarged lymph nodes.
