Introduction: Prior researches have reported abnormal changes of thalamus in patients with subcortical ischemic vascular disease (SIVD), which was usually analyzed as a whole. However, it was currently unclear whether the structure, function and connectivity of thalamic subregions were differentially affected by this disease and affected different cognitive functions.
Methods: This study recruited 30 SIVD patients with cognitive impairment (SIVD-CI), 30 SIVD patients with cognitive unimpaired (SIVD-CU) and 32 normal controls.
Ferroelectric field-effect transistors (FeFETs) commonly utilize traditional oxide ferroelectric materials for their strong remanent polarization. Yet, integrating them with the standard complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process is challenging due to the need for lattice matching and the high-temperature rapid thermal annealing process, which are not always compatible with CMOS fabrication. However, the advent of the ferroelectric semiconductor α-InSe offers a compelling solution to these challenges.

While previous studies have examined the independent effect of self-compassion or compassion for others on well-being, the present study examined how self-compassion may interact with compassion for others in predicting well-being. Two studies were conducted. In Study 1, 457 participants completed assessments at baseline and 229 participants were retained and completed the assessment at 4-month follow-up.

However, infrared absorption spectroscopy lacks the sensitivity for detecting trace analytes due to the low quantum efficiency of infrared sensors. Here, we report mid-infrared photothermal plasmonic scattering (MIP-PS) spectroscopy to push the infrared detection limit toward nearly a hundred molecules in a plasmonic nanocavity.
