Nitrate electroreduction is promising for achieving effluent waste-water treatment and ammonia production with respect to the global nitrogen balance. However, due to the impeded hydrogenation process, high overpotentials need to be surmounted during nitrate electroreduction, causing intensive energy consumption. Herein, a hydroxide regulation strategy is developed to optimize the interfacial HO behavior for accelerating the hydrogenation conversion of nitrate to ammonia at ultralow overpotentials.

Conductive hydrogels have emerged as excellent candidates for the design and construction of flexible wearable sensors and have attracted great attention in the field of wearable sensors. However, there are still serious challenges to integrating high stretchability, self-healing, self-adhesion, excellent sensing properties, and good biocompatibility into hydrogel wearable devices through easy and green strategies. In this paper, multifunctional conductive hydrogels (PCGB) with good biocompatibility, high tensile (1694 % strain), self-adhesive, and self-healing properties were fabricated by incorporating boric acid (BA) and glucose (Glu) simultaneously into polyacrylic acid (PAA) and chitosan (CS) polymer networks using a simple one-pot polymerization method.

In this research, a novel detection method employing rare-earth upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) as the core, coated with MnO nanosheets is designed, which formed a color and fluorescence dual-responsive UCNP composite material, MnO-modified NaYF:Yb,Tm@NaYF. By enabling both colorimetric and fluorescence methods simultaneously, this composite material allows for the detection of glucose concentration under different conditions, while exhibiting strong resistance to environmental interference, chemical stability, and accuracy. To further enhance the sensitivity of the detection method, a photonic crystals (PCs)-PDMS array where polymethyl methacrylate PCs are deposited onto a substrate composed of PDMS-glass slice with hydrophobic surfaces is developed.

Introduction: In-stent restenosis remains a significant challenge in coronary artery interventions. This study aims to explore the relationship between exercise intensity and stent design, focusing on the coupled response of the stent structure and hemodynamics at different exercise intensities.

Methods: A coupled balloon-stent-plaque-artery model and a fluid domain model reflecting structural deformation were developed to investigate the interaction between coronary stents and stenotic vessels, as well as their impact on hemodynamics.

Cation exchange chromatography (CEX) is commonly used to separate aggregates from monomers during the industrial manufacturing of recombinant proteins. However, the similar isoelectric point of aggregates and monomers makes the stepwise elution CEX an unstable process. In this study, the performance robustness of sodium chloride stepwise elution and cationic buffers (histidine and Bis-Tris) stepwise elution were compared through Monte Carlo simulation.
