Background: The main barrier to optimal effect in many established population-based screening programmes against cervical cancer is low participation. In Norway, a routine health service integrated population-based screening programme has been running since 1995, using open invitations and reminders. The aim of this randomised health service study was to pilot scheduled appointments and assess their potential for increased participation.

Methods: We studied EZH2 expression in 409 patients with colorectal cancer stages II and III. The patients were included in a randomised study, and treated with surgery alone or surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy.
In 1896, Krukenberg described what he presumed was a new type of primary ovarian neoplasm. The true metastatic nature of this lesion was established six years later. Some 10% of all ovarian malignant lesions are regarded as metastatic.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA Ki-67 index was determined in 63 fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) specimens from patients with rectal cancer, 21 with primary cancers and 42 with local recurrences. Seventeen of the patients had received external irradiation before the examination. In primary cancers, in recurrences as well as in the post-irradiation cases, the mean percentage of Ki-67 positive cells was about 55% with a wide variation.
