Atypical mucocutaneous manifestations of MPOX: A systematic review.

MPOX is an orthopoxvirus whose infection has been declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern in 2022 and 2024. It proved to be a virus with markedly heterogeneous and varied clinical presentation. We performed a systematic PubMed review of articles reporting cases of different clinical manifestations of MPOX until October 2024.

The use of the FRAX® tool and its adjustments in women living with diabetes: a cohort study in primary care in Brazil.

Unlabelled: The FRAX® algorithm showed good accuracy in women living with DM followed in primary care. There were no differences between the ROC curve with and without adjustments for major and hip fractures. The FRAX® 10-year and FRAX® AR were better calibrated in this population.

Infliximab monitoring in Crohn's disease: a neural network approach for evaluating disease activity and immunogenicity.

Background: The treatment for Crohn's disease (CD) has increasingly required the use of biological agents. Safe and affordable tests have led to the active implementation of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in clinical practice, which, although not yet widely available across all health services, has been proven effective.

Objective: To analyze serum infliximab (IFX) and antidrug antibody (ADA) levels in CD patients, compare two tests, as well as construct a prediction of neural network using a combination of clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory variables.

Involvement of platelet signaling pathways in colorectal cancer and new therapeutic targets.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most widespread tumor types, and it stands as the second leading cause of disease-related mortality globally. Due to its adverse effects, which lead to low patient adherence, new alternatives to conventional chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments are being studied. Since, in most cases, platelets are positively involved in the persistence and progression of CRC, several elements of the platelet signaling pathway have been considered possible therapeutic targets.

Introduction: In the UK, mental disorders are one of the most common reasons for claiming a benefit relating to unemployment, income, sickness and disability. Limited information exists regarding the demographic characteristics and psychiatric profiles of working age individuals claiming benefits in London. Until recently, detailed data on both mental disorders and benefit receipt were unavailable.
