The WFME global standards for quality improvement of postgraduate medical education: Which standards are also applicable in Germany? Recommendations for physicians with a license for postgraduate training and training agents.

In Germany, the (model) regulation for postgraduate medical education 2018, the professional codes of conduct of the regional medical councils and the health professions chamber laws of the federal states are the formal basis of postgraduate medical education, but say little about its structure, processes and results. The World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) has developed global standards for improving the quality of postgraduate medical education and published them in a revised edition in 2015. A German version which takes the specifics of medical training in Germany into account has not been published to date.

COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in people with migratory backgrounds: a cross-sectional study among Turkish- and German-speaking citizens in Munich.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy of people with migratory backgrounds among Turkish- and German-speaking patients in Munich.

Methods: Primary outcomes were the intention to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and COVID-19 knowledge levels (25 true/false items). Other variables included demographics, attitudes to COVID-19 and vaccination (7 items), and behaviors regarding COVID-19 (7 items).

Learning in peer teaching of patient relations and communication skills at the "Anamnesegruppen" Munich - proof-of-concept and lessons learned.

Due to the ban on classroom teaching during the pandemic, the Munich "Anamnesegruppen" had to be switched to e-learning at short notice. There were no established concepts for this, which is why digitalization was piloted and evaluated for feasibility. "Anamnesegruppen" have existed for over 50 years and are organized as independent student peer teaching.

Asynchronous, digital teaching in times of COVID-19: a teaching example from general practice.

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic had a strong impact on academic teaching and could change it sustainably. Ad hoc digitization of teaching had to be carried out. : Education in general practice at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) offers, in addition to the main lecture, various elective courses, clinical traineeships, internship as well as the elective part in the final practical year.
