A Study on Byproducts in the High-Pressure Melamine Production Process.

The industrial production of melamine is carried out by the thermal decomposition of urea in two technological processes, using high or low pressure. The reaction may be accompanied by the formation of undesirable byproducts, oxoaminotriazines, and so-called polycondensates, mainly melam, melem, and melon, as well as their hydrates and adducts. Their presence leads to the deterioration of the quality of the final product and may lead to the release of troublesome deposits inside the apparatus of the product's separation node.

Human acclimation to work in warm and humid environments.

The aim of this study was to analyse the acclimation of male Europeans during a forty-one day stay in the hot and humid climate of Thailand. We also tried to examine the phases of acclimation which would eventually be used by trainers in the elaboration of the schedule of athletes' preparation to participate in competitions in a tropical climate. Twelve Polish male subjects ageing 21-38 years participated in these examinations.

Exercise thermoregulation in Thai and Polish male subjects.

The aim of this study was to compare the efficiency of exercise thermoregulatory functions in Thai and Polish groups. Twelve Thai and 14 Polish healthy male students were included. An exercise test on a bicycle ergometer at 53% of the maximal work load was performed at ambient air temperature of 30 degrees C and relative humidity of 70%.

[On the need for analysis of the occupational health education system].

The paper includes conceptual premises on which the analysis of the occupational health education system is based as well as the outcome of an attempt to perform a comparative study in this area. The authors present some of the features which characterize the education system designed for occupational health physicians. A comparative approach adopted in the analysis (Poland vs some other countries) seems to be the simplest and the most effective way to draw appropriate conclusions.
