Introduction: Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an urgent need for the rapid and equitable translation of knowledge and effective treatments to reach vulnerable populations in response to the ever-shifting pandemic environment. The approval of neutralizing monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for treatment of outpatient COVID-19 resulted in a need to rapidly design dissemination strategies to increase awareness and equitable access for community members and healthcare providers.
Materials And Methods: We used the Fit to Context (F2C) Framework for Designing for Dissemination and Sustainability to (a) design products such as messages and materials, and (b) disseminate the products.
Background: On October 7, 2023, Hamas carried out an unprecedented attack on the State of Israel and kidnapped 251 people into captivity to the Gaza Strip. Several months later, as part of a humanitarian exchange deal, 105 hostages were released in five phases and admitted to one of six hospitals throughout the country for treatment. Objectives: To understand the epidemiology and outcomes of DKA, particularly in T2DM patients.
In this retrospective cohort study, we investigated the prognostic value of sarcopenia evaluated by Computed Tomography (CT)-based indices for adverse hospitalization outcomes in patients with acute infections. We analyzed data from 225 patients admitted to the hospital for acute infections between 2019 and 2020. Patients who had undergone an abdominal CT scan either up to 1 month before or within the first 3 days of hospitalization were included.
