Objectives: To compare the clinical effectiveness of a novel bioceramic (BC) with a control xenograft (BO) for guided bone regeneration (GBR) performed simultaneously with implant placement.

Materials And Methods: This clinical study enrolled patients with insufficient bone volume who required GBR during implant placement to increase bone width using either BC or BO. Outcome measures included a dimensional reduction in buccal bone thickness measured by cone beam computed tomography performed immediately post-surgery and at 6 months postoperatively (ΔHBBT), soft tissue healing at 14 days, 1 month, and 6 months postoperatively, and complications rates.

Background: The production of inhibitors is a serious complication that can arise during coagulation factor replacement therapy for hemophilia A (HA). The primary therapeutic strategy to eliminate inhibitors is immune tolerance induction (ITI), which is known to be an extremely challenging, prolonged, and costly treatment. With the widespread use of RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) to analyze differentially expressed genes (DEGs) across various treatment outcomes, there is potential for predicting ITI outcomes.

Objective: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of the combined Needle Knife Therapy (NKT) and Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) treatment for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and to provide clinical evidence supporting its application in managing the condition.

Methods: Relevant articles were retrieved from PubMed, Medline, Embase, Wanfang, and China National Knowledge Network (CNKI) from the inception of the databases up to February 18, 2023. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the efficacy of NKT combined with CHM were appraised for inclusion.

Background: Ultrasound based radiomics prediction model can improve the differentiation ability of benign and malignant thyroid nodules to avoid overtreatment. This study evaluates the role of predictive models based on intranodular and perinodular ultrasound radiomics in distinguishing between benign and malignant thyroid nodules.

Methods: A total of 1,076 thyroid nodules were enrolled from three hospitals between 2016 and 2022, forming the training, validation and test cohorts.

The role of ubiquitin-mediated degradation mechanisms in the pathogenesis of diffuse large B cell (DLBCL) and follicular lymphoma (FL) is not completely understood. We show that conditional deletion of the E3 ubiquitin ligase Fbxo45 in germinal center B-cells results in B-cell lymphomagenesis in homozygous (100%) and heterozygous (48%) mice. Mechanistically, FBXO45 targets the RHO guanine exchange factor ARHGEF2/GEF-H1 for ubiquitin-mediated degradation.
