Servant leadership and citizenship behavior in the Pakistani tourism and hospitality industry: The role of harmonious environmental passion and a green work climate.

This research investigated the mechanisms and contextual factors influencing the relationship between servant leadership tailored to specific environments and environmental citizenship behavior, considering the Conservation of Resource Theory as a theoretical lens. Data collection was collected from 300 employees and their supervisors, including several organizations within the Pakistani Hospitality and Tourism sector, and the data underwent analysis using PLS-SEM. Empirical findings showed that the relationship between environmental-specific servant leadership and organizational environmental citizenship behavior is mediated by harmonious environmental passion.

Frequency and Outcome of Pregnant Females Presenting With Thrombocytopenia at a Tertiary Care Hospital.

Background: Platelet-related problems are more frequently discovered in women during pregnancy because screening is carried out as part of the initial clinic examination using automated blood counts. This study was done to find out the frequency and outcomes of pregnant females presenting with thrombocytopenia at a tertiary care hospital.

Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, from April 2023 to September 2023.

A Case of an IgG4-Related Disease Mimicking Malignancy and Resolving With Steroids.

A 77-year-old African American female was referred to oncology for evaluation of an adrenal fossa mass detected on computed tomography scan of the abdomen and pelvis (CT-scan A/P) that was ordered as a work-up for painless hematuria. Further evaluation by positron emission tomography (PET) scan showed hypermetabolic masses in the left suprarenal and right iliac region. The biopsy of the right iliac mass was consistent with IgG4-related disease (IgG4RD).

The role of vitamin D supplementation for primary prevention of cancer: meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

: In the USA cancer is the second leading cause of mortality, as such, primary prevention of cancer is a major public health concern. Vitamin D supplementation has been studied as a primary prevention method for multiple diseases including cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus and cancer. The role of Vitamin D as primary prevention of cancer is still controversial.

Primary isolated hepatosplenic sarcoidosis mimicking malignancy and causing symptomatic hypercalcaemia.

This is a case of a 67-year-old woman, known to have multiple medical problems, mainly papillary thyroid cancer status post-total thyroidectomy and cervical neck dissection in addition to radioactive iodine currently in remission for 1 year, who presented to the hospital with severe weakness and fatigue. The initial workup showed significant hypercalcaemia and suppressed Parathyroid hormone (PTH). The patient was treated with hydration and pamidronate and her hypercalcaemia and symptoms improved.
