Clinically sound and person centred: streamlining clinical decision support guidance for multiple long-term condition care.

The care of people with multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs) is complex and time-consuming, often denying them the agency to self-manage their conditions-or for the clinician they visit to provide streamlined, person-centred care. We reconfigured The Practical Approach to Care Kit, our established, evidence-based, policy-aligned clinical decision support tool for low-resource primary care settings, to provide consolidated clinical guidance for a patient journey through a primary care facility. This places the patient at the centre of that journey and shifts the screening, monitoring and health education activities of multimorbidity care more equitably among the members of the primary care team.

A prospective randomised controlled trial investigating household SARS-CoV-2 transmission in a densely populated community in Cape Town, South Africa - the transmission of COVID-19 in crowded environments (TRACE) study.

Background: South Africa's first SARS-CoV-2 case was identified 5th March 2020 and national lockdown followed March 26th. Households are an important location for secondary SARS-CoV-2 infection. Physical distancing and sanitation - infection mitigation recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) at the time - are difficult to implement in limited-resource settings because of overcrowded living conditions.

Psychologists' experience of working with people who hear voices and their views on the idea of voice simulation training: A qualitative study.

Objectives: Research indicates psychologists typically lack subjective understanding of voice hearing. Voice hearing simulation training has potential to improve understanding, empathy and confidence among clinicians, but psychologists have had limited input into its development. This study investigated psychologists' and a psychotherapist's clinical experience of working with people who hear voices and their views and recommendations for voice hearing simulation training.

Retrospective Evaluation of Moderate Sedation Visits That Used Oral Meperidine and Hydroxyzine With Oral or Intranasal Midazolam.

To examine the influence of substituting intranasal (IN) midazolam (MID) for oral (PO) MID, within the three-drug combination of meperidine (MEP), hydroxyzine (H) and MID, on sedation treatment outcomes. A retrospective, cross-sectional analysis examined patient variables and sedation outcomes in 508 pediatric dental patients sedated by single- and multi-drug sedation regimens (MEP-H; MEP-H-(PO)-MID; MEP-H-(IN)-MID; single-agent MID). The outcome assessment examined sedation visit effectiveness, sedation treatment completion, treatment time and medication administration to discharge time.
