As technology advances, the demand for effective microwave-absorbing materials (MAM) to mitigate electromagnetic wave interference is growing. Two-dimensional (2D) materials are increasingly favored across various fields for their high specific surface area, electrical conductivity, low density, and dielectric loss properties. This study presents lightweight nanocomposites composed of graphene nanoplatelets blended with epoxy resin (ER) and cardanol with silane-functionalized (SFC) as a toughening agent.

The amine (-NH) group was functionalized by the addition of cyanuric acid chloride followed by 4-methylbenzenesulfonol hydrazide. The SBO/FCS has been characterized by FT-IR, X-ray diffraction, XPS, HR-SEM, HR-TEM, AFM, and thermogravimetry (TGA).

In the present work, pure MoS and MoS/BiS nanocomposites with different compositions of bismuth were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The structural properties of the electrode materials were studied using the XRD technique, which confirmed the formation of MoS and the secondary phase of BiS while increasing Bi substitution.
