Objective: We aimed to investigate availability of lactation policy and facility information among surgical residency programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Design: Between March 1, 2023 and October 31, 2023, websites of surgical residency training programs on the ACGME Accreditation System List of Programs by Specialty were reviewed for department lactation policies, links to institutional graduate medical education (GME) websites with lactation policies, lists of lactation facilities, and links to institutional GME websites listing lactation facilities. Scatter plots were generated and Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to assess relationships of the percentages of female residents, fellows, and faculty in each surgical specialty with the percentage of residency program websites with available lactation information.
Context: 47,XXY/Klinefelter syndrome (XXY) is associated with impaired testicular function and differences in physical growth, metabolism, and neurodevelopment. Clinical features of XXY may be attributable to inadequate testosterone during the mini-puberty period of infancy.
Objective: We tested the hypothesis that exogenous testosterone treatment positively effects short-term physical, hormonal, and neurodevelopmental outcomes in infants with XXY.

Background: Arterial gas embolism (AGE) may occur while breathing compressed air and failing to exhale during ascent to compensate for gas expansion as pressure decreases. Trauma to the lungs from over-pressurization may result in air bubbles entering the pulmonary veins and subsequently the systemic circulation, causing obstructed blood flow and inflammatory cascades. AGEs are known to always manifest within 10 min of surfacing from depth.

Effective uptake coefficients (γ) are obtained from the multiphase reaction kinetics, which are quantified by Vacuum Ultraviolet Photoionization Aerosol Mass Spectrometry. For aerosols composed of only of alkenes, γ doubles (from 6 × 10 to 1.
