Background: Various countries have instituted risk governance measures to control and minimize the risks of chemicals at the national and international levels. Activities typically include risk assessment based on ) hazard and exposure assessments; ) setting limits on the production, use, and emissions of chemicals; ) enforcement of regulations; and ) monitoring the effectiveness of the measures taken. These steps largely depend on chemical analysis and access to pure chemical reference standards.

In the human liver, hepatic flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 oxidizes TMA to trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO). TMAO is considered a candidate marker for the risk of cardiovascular disease.

The origin of this environmental contaminant loading is unclear. Here, we first examined PHCZs levels and profiles in sediment, lotus, and fish from the Ya-Er Lake (China) that has been under the influence of an obsolete chlor-alkali facility for forty years and discovered substantial PHCZs contamination.

Therefore, a method was developed to identify the volatile markers of fruit naturally infected by Phacidiopycnis washingtonensis, a common storage-rot fungus of Northern Europe, and North and South America. Potato dextrose agar, apple juice agar, and fruit of the apple cultivar 'Nicoter' were inoculated with P.

To fill this knowledge gap, we assessed 74 PCA homolog groups commonly referred to as short-chain (SCCPs: PCAs-C), medium-chain (MCCPs: PCAs-C), and long-chain CPs (LCCPs: PCAs-C) in technical CP mixtures (n = 4) and polymer samples (n = 49), including recycled plastics, collected in Vietnam in 2023. The contents of measured PCA homolog groups in technical CP mixtures were 86,000-930,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C; 85,000-990,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C; and 23,000-180,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C.
